Vinitaly overcame half century
with its 51st edition!
As every year, Verona is coloured by red ruby; the atmosphere becomes fruity and is carried on with warm cheers of wine glasses which allow the taste all kind of flavours: dry, sweet, light and full-bodied…
Since 1967, the city of the famous novel “Romeo and Juliet”, VERONA, hosts VINITALY the International Saloon of wine and distillates.
The area where Vinitaly is held extends for more than 95 000 m². It counts about 4000 expositors each year and registers more or less 150,000 visitors. With this numbers, Vinitaly is the first world fair of viticulture.
In addition to the exposition areas consecrated to wine producers, the saloon offers also workshops, buyers’ club and special stands where the Made in Italy is promoted and start-up are showed off.
VINITALY INTERNATIONAL
Vinitaly performs also the role of Italian wine ambassador by the means of Vinitaly in the World which organizes events in the main international markets.
In addition to bring buyers from all over the world, Vinitaly is also present the whole year long during the most important international markets with educational, networking and commercial supports initiatives.

VINITALY, YEARS OF STORY
It was in 1867 when the first exposition of wine took place in the Arena of Verona.
From there, Wine is told through 50 years of Italian story which knew how to make a name and reputation thanks to it.
Today, in 2017, Vinitaly overcomes half century with its 51st edition!
VINITALY AND THE CITY
For this occasion, Verona frames the special event “Vinitaly and the City” out of saloon.
Degustation, showcases, meetings, guided tour and many other initiatives go on and drive the main areas of the city from April 8th to 11th.
There is an important appointment for all the wine lovers; it’s also a nice occasion to discover and live the magnificent city of Shakespeare, Verona!
