THINGS TO DO IN DUBAI :
WHAT TO KNOW AND WHAT TO SEE

Dubai. You can stop here before you go to another destination or you can choose it as a destination for a trip in the United Arab Emirates. In any case I recommend 3/4 days in this city.

In a few years it has gone from anonymous desert to the most populous city of the UAE, where the buildings challenge in height the laws of physics and gravity, Dubai relie on tourism and it’s constantly looking for luxury.Things to do in Dubai

Dubai is … NEW. It is the frenzy created on the silence of the desert, between Eastern and Western, tradition and novelty, rules and freedom.

Things to do in Dubai : What to know before leaving

Being an Arab country, there are some rules that must be respected; in the subway you can not eat, you can not drink and you can not chew gums, and it is recommended not to kiss in public with your partner.

It will also be difficult to find restaurants serving alcohol, so prepare yourself for exquisite centrifuges of fruit or vegetables, abstaining from wine and beer!

Other curiosity! In summer the thermal excursion between inside and the outside of the buildings is too much; bring something warmer to not suffer cold inside, even though outside will be there 45° celsius!

Things to do in Dubai: Where to sleep

Where to sleep in Dubai? There are endless places deserving for the beauty or the location, but not being able to mention them all I recommend the area of Palm Jumeirah. This palm-shaped island, as its name suggests, is the result of one of Dubai’s crazy projects.
Beginning to build in 2001, in 2007 it was elected to the largest artificial island in the world and today it hosts many luxury hotels, including the famous Atlantis, an icon.Things to do in Dubai

We stayed in a new built hotel right on this artificial island, the Dukes (https://www.dukesdubai.com). The hotel is extremely beautiful, wit a gym, indoor pool, infinity pool and even a private beach. The staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfast is rich and plentiful! Highly recommended!

Things to do in Dubai : What to See

To go around the city, it’s better to use the metro or Taxi; We have been using Uber, easy to get and same price as taxi (not expensive), I do not recommend car rental.

Shopping Mall

Dubai is luxury, must for shopping lovers.
Red Metro, Burj Khalifa stop / Dubai Mall Metro Station, and here’s the largest shopping mall in the world. The Dubai Mall.
Inside it will be easy to get lost, but the directions will help you find your way back and make you feel like a small town! 1200 shops to turn your head around, and even an ice skating rink, a beautiful aquarium, fountains and entry to the Burj Khalifa.

Would you prefer to ski rather than skating on the ice? Then, red metro stop Mall of the Emirates. The Mall of the Emirates is famous because in addition to its many shops, it houses Sky Dubai, the world’s largest indoor ski track.

Much smaller than the previous one, the Dubai Marina Mall, located in the Dubai Marina district, is a shopping mall that houses large luxury brands, and within it is also a hotel, the Address Dubai Marina. You can not reach the metro but with the Big Bus tour or the taxi.

Modern Dubai

Nose up, you can see the summit of the Burj Khalifa, which with its 828 mt height divided into 160 floors, is the tallest skyscraper in the world! You can visit the Burj Khalifa (the tower of Caliphs) inside; the view “at the Top” observatory on the 148th floor, considered the highest observatory in the world will be amazing. And that’s not all! The Burj Khalifa also has the fastest elevator in the world with the longest route!
(Ticket prices from 125 AED, remember that access to Burj Khalifa is from the Dubai Mall).Things to do in Dubai

Do not miss for any reason, the show of dancing fountains in front of the Dubai Mall.
Guess what? These fountains represent the largest choreographic fountain in the world!
Inaugurated in May 2009, they offer a completely free show for all Dubai Mall visitors. Every night there are 11 shows of dancing fountains, starting at 6pm and repeating every 30 minutes until the 23rd show, which officially closes the Dubai Mall day.Things to do in Dubai

It’s not all! Also the Burj al Arab, the famous sailing hotel, with its 321m high is the third highest hotel in the world. Symbol of extreme luxury!

Things do in Dubai

The traditional Dubai

To discover Dubai’s most “true”, we reach the Dubai Creek area, the waterway that divides the Bur Dubai and Deira districts. Rich in colors and fragrant Souk, this area is great for meeting the Arab culture perfectly! Pastel tones of the fabrics souk, the Souk of spices (do not go home without!), to the glittering Gold Souk, for gold lovers. And to get even closer to this world, visit the White Stone Mosque, Jumeirah Mosque, the only visitable to non-Muslims, including women.

Things to do in Dubai : The Desert

Dubai is new and old, modernity and tradition, a destination of luxury but immersed in a beautiful desert. All Dubai was born out of the desert, and an organized excursion is worth living! Book a Safari in the desert, ride the dunes and make sure you enjoy adrenaline, so much fun but also stunning landscapes.
Many excursions include camel ride and dinner in the bedouin village; you will be greeted with typical music and dances that will make this experience really beautiful!Things to do in Dubai

Finish the day watching the sun disappear behind the horizon
created by an endless stretch of sand, will not have any price.

Things to do in Dubai : Is it a safe city?

Many have asked me this question and here’s the answer: Dubai is a safe city.
The level of crime is even lower than in many European and American capitals! Dubai was created for tourists and it is perfectly aware of it, calm, you are safe!
